Borzoipoos are a mix between a Borzoi and a Standard Poodle - they are beautiful, intelligent and vigorous dogs that offer all the benefits of both breeds without many of the weakness. Without getting into depth about hereditary health issues, we can say, when you breed one of each of these breeds (that you have health cleared), they will only get one recessive one for specific health issues or no genes for everyday health problems. A great example there is a gene that is related to more chasing behaviors - Borzois were bred for hunting and carry it, Poodles don't have it, so Borzoipoos are less likely to uncontrollably go after a squirrel or try to get off leash at the sight of another dog. Borzoipoos are a combination of both parents' most striking,,desirable features. They will have the Borzoi's regal muzzle and a cute, curly coat. Some Borzoipoos inherit the Poodle's floppy ears and shorter muzzle, however. Borzoipoos bred from Standard Poodles will be lean but large dogs - ranging in weigh from 35lbs to 50lbs and can live up to 15 years but usually between 10 to 12 years. They inherit the intelligence and trainability of their Poodle parents which makes them obedient and easy to train. They are cheerful, playful, family dogs. My grandkids laughed as we sure you are, when you look at what we came up with for a name for this blend of breeds but that is exactly what we were looking for . . life is tough and these dogs are such awesome breeds, why not laugh, love and enjoy? We will be thoroughly health testing prior to any breeding is done and this is only done if approved by our reproduction vet.
