Can you deliver to other states?: Yes. For families who can’t make the trip out to us, we work with flight nannies and ground transport services that we trust completely to bring your puppy safely to you. These are professional, experienced pet-travel options available across the country, and the cost varies with distance. Just let us know where you are and we will help you arrange the right one.
What size will the puppy be when full grown?: To be honest, a good breeder will tell you upfront that on a hybrid we just can’t tell you for sure. Wolfadoodles can run between 110 and 150 lbs, about the same as a wolfhound, and a borzoipoo will be around 50 to 75 lbs, about the same as a borzoi. A lot has to do with their parents.
Do you test for temperament?: Yes. Temperament is at the top of our list when we choose which dogs to keep and breed. We want sound, stable minds, and we spend our days with these dogs in our home so we know each of their personalities well.
What kind of socialization do the puppies get?: Our puppies are raised in a wonderful, state of the art kennel that is centrally heated and air conditioned. You will usually find Debi right there with them, either in with the babies or working in the small apartment she has set up inside, with a security monitor so she can keep a close eye on them around the clock. From day 1 through day 16 we do early neurological stimulation, and the puppies are handled every day. Once they have had their first shot we invite certain people to come visit and play with them, but we are very careful about exposure to the general public, given everything that is out there these days.
How does the reservation process work?: A $500 non-refundable deposit at 3 weeks of age holds your puppy. It applies toward your balance, which is due by 7 weeks, and puppies go home at 9 to 10 weeks. If something comes up in your life and you aren’t able to move forward with the current litter, we are more than willing to move your deposit forward to the next litter.
Can I obtain references?: Of course. We can provide you with several references upon asking.
